Follow these simple steps to master your portable brewing system and enjoy rich, flavorful beverages on the go.
Set Up & Prep
Extend the stand and feet for a stable base. Insert your favorite coffee grounds in the re-usable filter or insert a K-Cup® type.
Heat Water & Insert Tube
Heat water in any external kettle or pot, remove from heat. Place the end of the CAFORA® inlet tube directly into the hot water.
Select Your Brew
Place your mug under the spout, choose your brew settings on the intuitive control screen , and press the start button.
Enjoy & Clean
Savor your perfectly brewed, adventure-ready beverage. When finished, run the simple clean and rinse modes for a hassle-free cleanup.
Step 1: Power Up & Set Up for Your Journey
Before you head out, ensure your CAFORA® Brew Pod is ready for action. The system features a powerful, USB-C rechargeable battery designed for the long haul. On a single full charge, your CAFORA® Brew Pod can produce approximately 200 cups, giving you the freedom to explore for days. To set up, simply deploy the stand; pull to the first stage for a short tumbler or continue to the second stage for taller mugs. Rotate the two feet from the lower stand until they stop horizontally and place the unit on a flat surface for stability.
Step 2: Choose Your Perfect Brew
The CAFORA® Brew Pod offers ultimate flexibility, allowing you to enjoy your favorite beverages your way. The device is fully compatible with our stainless steel filter for your own artisanal coffee grounds, compostable single-serve pods, and K-Cup® type pods. To get started, give the filter holder a quarter turn to remove it, insert your pod or the filled stainless filter, and re-insert the holder back into the CAFORA® Brew Pod, making sure it is not cross-threaded.
Step 3: Heat Water & Prepare the Inlet Tubing
The CAFORA® Brew Pod’s innovative design uses an external water source to save space and weight in your pack. Simply heat clean bottled or distilled water in your camp kettle or pot, and remove from heat. Then, gently insert the inlet tubing, lining up the connector. This special tubing contains a temperature monitor at its tip; place it into your heated water. The unit’s screen will register the temperature. For your safety, if the water is too hot (above 200°F / 93.3°C), the brew cycle will pause until the temperature drops to a safe operating level.
Step 4: Dial In Your Brew Settings
Customize your drink to perfection using the simple, intuitive touch screen controls. The CAFORA® Brew Pod allows you to select your beverage type and adjust the cup size to control the strength and volume of your brew. The clear display makes it easy to see your selections, and the device conveniently saves your last settings so you can brew continuously without making new inputs every time. With your mug in place, simply press the "Brew" button to begin.
Step 5: Brew with Smart Technology
With your settings selected, press the start button. Our patent-pending precision technology mists hot water evenly over the coffee grounds, ensuring full saturation and a rich, full-bodied flavor extraction. The brew cycle is followed by a purge phase to finish the process. The CAFORA® Brew Pod is also equipped with intelligent safety features. If the unit tips over during brewing, the system will automatically shut down the cycle. Additionally, the brewing process will stop if the filter holder is removed.
Step 6: Enjoy and Clean with Ease
Once your delicious beverage is ready, cleanup is just as simple. The CAFORA® Brew Pod features dedicated clean and rinse modes accessible from the maintenance screen. For daily care, simply run a cleaning cycle with fresh water. The system will run a clean phase, then automatically progress to the rinse mode. At this point, remove the tubing from the water and hold it vertically to allow the system to purge any remaining fluid. For periodic deep cleaning, you can run a cycle with a water and vinegar solution to ensure peak performance.
